Well, it's official.... I have been admitted to City University of Seattle to earn my B.S. in Business Administration! The great part is- I start as a Junior and will earn my degree likely by May 2013. I'm excited to start this new journey. My sister-in-law Heather is a Starbucks partner, therefore I will receive a 20% tuition discount. I have also applied for a transfer student scholarship for $11,000. About 80% of students who apply for it, get it- so my odds are pretty good! I'm applying for scholarships like crazy, so wish me luck! I plan to go on to earn my Master's degree- since it is only about 3 additional quarters.
I hope this is the right choice. I'm kind of having a quarter life crisis. I have no idea what I REALLY want to do with my life, but this seems okay. All I know is that I want to be able to contribute to a comfortable lifestyle for my future kids. I want to be able to pay their way through college :)

Jaison, Maya, and Amelia
Today, I'm going to write about 3 people who are very special to me. You've probably seen me post about a million billion pictures on Facebook, but let me introduce you to Jaison (in the middle), Amelia (on the left), and Maya (on the right).
Jaison's mom, Diana is one of my mom's best friends. I met their family when I was about 7 or 8 years old, and now Diana and her daughter Sharlene live just up the street from my parents house. Anywho, Jaison's girls were born on January 29, 2011. They are simply amazing. One of my very favorite things to do is go to Jaison's and play with Maya and Amelia. I told Jaison it's like "parenting class" to go visit them for a few hours. We give them baths and dress them, feed them, change diapers, play, and put them to sleep. It's great practice for me! Jaison is such a wonderful dad, and one of the strongest, most awesome people I know. He's been through a lot recently, and handles it with such grace. I highly respect Jaison and I'm glad to call him my pseudo-cousin.
Do you think they look the same? I have been around them and they don't look the same anymore to me. Of course, there are similarities but they are just so different. Especially their personalities. Maya is scooting around and pretty much crawling, but Amelia doesn't seem to have an interest in it. She is such a loving little girl. When I'm holding her in my arms trying to put her to sleep, she will look into my eyes and reach up and rub my cheek. They have both done this, and it makes me want to cry it's SO CUTE. I love them so much, I can't describe it!
The last time I was over there, I was drinking a glass of water with Maya in my lap and she grabbed the side of it and slobbered all over the cup. Jaison and I gave them sippy cups for the first time, and it was pretty hilarious. They couldn't quite figure out how they worked versus bottles, and were sucking on the bottoms of them. Here's a picture:
I absolutely love these little girls and I really look forward to seeing them grow up. The whole Naiker family (Diana, Jaison, Sharlene, Maya & Amelia) is so special to me and I am so lucky and blessed to have them as a part of my life.

Girls Weekend
I forgot to blog about GIRLS WEEKEND!
Last weekend, my best friend of all time Amy Sparks flew in from San Francisco and spent the weekend! Giulia, Viktoria, Amy, and I have been friends since we were 9 years old. We rarely see each other (in this case, it had been 2 years) but it seems like we were never apart. We're just all very connected and on the same page about everything.
I went to Giulia's at about 5:30 and Giulia, Viktoria, and I made T-Shirts with fabric paint and iron on letters. They said "Wolfpack Weekend 2011." We also made a sign that said Welcome Back to the Wolfpack. Then, we were off to the airport. We waited for what seemed like forever for her to step out of the gate, and finally we saw her! There are pictures of the reunion, I will post them later! After that, we went to Frontier Room in Belltown where our other friend since age 9 Max works :) We had a good time dancing and drinking. Then, Amy and I went back to my house and passed out.
The next day, we had breakfast at Patty's Eggnest and walked around Alderwood Mall. I swear, that is the first time I've ever been to the mall and not bought anything! After that, we went to Lovers and then back to Giulia's where we watched a movie. We decided to go to Anthony's for dinner, so we got a seat. Looking at the menu, we decided nothing sounded good, so we went across the parking lot to Arnie's. When we got there, the menu was terrible again! After 2 failed attempts, we decided to go to Applebee's for Happy Hour.
After dinner, we made a trip to the place where it all started: Lynnwood Intermediate School! We sat in front of our old 5th grade classroom and wrote our teacher a note (he still teaches there!) We did cartwheels in the grass area like old times and played on the playground. It was a real blast from the past and really great memories. After that, we went to my parents house so they could see Amy and Giulia. They were both very excited to see them :) Then, we went to my house and played games and had drinks and laughed the entire night.
The next morning, we took Amy to the airport. Honestly, that was one of the best weekends I have EVER had. Amy is planning another trip here in November and I just can't wait.

I'm sorry, I'm really bad at blogging. I will try to post a little something each day. I'm making a pop-up in my Outlook.
Life is boring at the moment.... I'm taking Abnormal Psychology and Interpersonal Communication and it's my LAST quarter! In the winter I will be in the Business Administration Program at City University. I'll graduate May of 2013!
Hawaii is only about 2.5 months away and I'm really excited. Time to really start buckling down on my dieting!!!
My life is seriously too boring to blog about, but I'll try to post more things. I will surely post vacation blog and things like that... I think Mike should let me get a puppy so I can post pictures of him/her on the blog.... :(
PS: SO EXCITED FOR TIFFANY AND GAVIN to have their baby girl!! <-- I really miss Tiffanio!
